Understanding the relationship between an individual's personality and effective decision-making is essential for any leader. It allows him better to appreciate the underlying effects of varying personal characteristics and utilize them to benefit the whole organization. In this article, I would like to reflect on some of the essential things we have learned in this course. This includes the things related to personal motivation, leadership skills, and even ethnocultural differences that could affect the dynamics between an organization's members. All in all, I believe that a thorough reflection of one's learning process would help improve his capability of utilizing such learning in his daily practice.
Course Reflection
One of the most important things that I have learned in this course is motivation and engagement. Since organizations are usually made up of various individuals, each of which has its underlying reason for joining, then leaders should be aware of such a purpose. This is because these different purposes are usually the primary source of motivation and engagement that allows the individual to grow, thrive, and contribute to the benefit of one's organization.
