Psychoanalytic and Feminist Perspectives
The psychoanalytic perspective is viewed to be a result of early experiences that were observed to have an impact on current behaviors. Other scholars believe it was caused by individual natural growth since childhood. Majorly, it focuses on the importance of the unconscious mind (Barry 100). On the other hand, the Feminist perspective is said to have emerged from male chauvinism, and women began to demand equal rights. Others acknowledge it to be as a result of the distinct social roles of men and women (Barry 140). Some say that it emerged because of gender inequality. All these bring the idea that it observes the relationship between gender and power.
I disagree with the idea that the Psychoanalytic Theory and Feminist theory are in opposition to one another. I think that these two theories are completely different and address different matters in the society. The psychoanalytic theory addresses the current behavior of human beings, and the Feminist theory...
