Analysis and Interpretation
Situated ethos refers to any proof that relies on the reputation of a speaker. In the setting of the article, the speaker who is a victim of epilepsy asserts that she made herself colorful. Besides, the author affirms that she was an illustration of one of walking disability poetics. Similarly, invented ethos is any evidence that relies on the qualities of a speaker. The epilepsy victim disclosed to a friend that she had cognitive malfunctioning as opposed to learning disability. She admits that she had to internalize and buy shit. The different types of pathos used by the author are influential in evoking the emotions of the reader. Notably, it is sympathizing that neurologists informed the victim not to dream big. Moreover, the author was born in a working-class family, thus limiting her options in life. Accordingly, differentiation in the essay is that the victim was a quiet and shy girl and had to make herself colorful.
