The book "The honest truth about dishonesty by Dan Ariely is an interesting read. The most provocative thing was the many insights it provided on how people find ways to lie to themselves and others. It was interesting to see how Ariely provides an understanding of how we behave, why we do so and that the matter of cost/benefit is not the only driving factor to why we deceive others. All these insights are very thought-provoking, and it influences the way we regard other people and our surroundings. This book helps you think about the complexities of being honest and truthful, as well as the many hidden motives for deception. What was harder to decipher was how much we deceive ourselves.
