An Example of Well-Developed Creative Nonfiction Narrative

Essay Instructions:

Paper needs to be 2-3 pages. minimum of 650 words. Times New Romans 12pt font double spaced.

Nonfiction Narrative: Personal Essay
Using styles and techniques we’ve discussed and practiced (e.g. appositive phrases, absolute phrases, etc.), you will create a personal essay. The purpose of this narrative is to create and identify the qualities of a well-developed creative nonfiction narrative. The features of a strong, well-executed piece will include producing clear and coherent writing that utilizes the characteristics (e.g. plot, character development, imagery, etc.) of this genre and in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. The narrative should be approximately two-to-three pages in length (i.e. at least 650 words), double-spaced, written in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font.
Remember, all strong narratives – whether they are fiction or nonfiction – have the following characteristics:
Clear context
Well-chosen and thoughtfully emphasized details
A logical organization
Length has less to do with organization and more to do with detail
An appropriate and consistent point of view
A universal theme: a meaningful purpose or main point
It is important that you proofread your work before submitting it. I will deduct twice as many points from the score for "fatal flaws." These include simple proofreading errors, capitalization errors, and end-of-sentence punctuation errors.

Aside from talking about the embarrassing and interesting traveling stories, I often gather many new ideas on a bunch of stuff I should add to my bucket list ideas. Undoubtedly, my non-traveling friends and acquaintances would find me somewhat annoying; however, I cannot shy from expressing my passion for traveling.
In a remarkably unique way, traveling has a lot to do with the person I have become today. Because of this reason, I like sharing with others about why one should travel and what it does to you. Aside from boarding planes that I detest so much, I find pleasure in most of the things that come after. My travel list includes the physical features, andulating landscapes, lovable deserts, calm lakes, and forests jam. I plan my travels in the summer holidays when no one worries about unfinished assignments or tasks behind. Though most plans are done in solitude, once in a while, I invite friends or family. Recently, I went together with my sister to Miami and never regretted it. The stellar Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami are places that every child would love to visit. Aside from Zoo Miami, my sister enjoyed the Venetian Pool that has beautiful scenery of the sea.

Travelling makes me look like a chill person. I can't recount how many times I have popped up in my friends' stories as a well-traveled person. Hence, I make sure that whenever I visit a new place, I give myself a chance to explore and enjoy all that exists in that place. It is one o...
