I like how the draft starts as it acknowledges that laptops have become a basic need for students owing to the technological developments that have made the world one global village. However, I feel that the title of the paper should have been something like, “How technology affects classroom attention among students.” This is because the paper not only focuses on laptops but also describes how phones, tablets, iPads, and social media sites impact on the concentration of students in acclass. But, the writer convinces me that there is a problem with students using laptops in class when in the first paragraph he/she acknowledges that laptops cause distractions in class. Nevertheless, I disagree with the writer on the point that a teacher should be more interesting than the contents of laptops. Is a teacher a comedian? In the second paragraph, the writer starts to discuss why he/she does not encourage students to have laptops in class then jumps to a recommendation even before outlining the reasons for discouraging the laptops in class. The article is mixed up and needs re-organization.
