Animation is slowly taking over the film industry. In the recent past, animation films were meant only for children to entertain. However, the Toy Story franchise produced by Disney and Pixar and directed by John Lasseter has changed the face of the animation film industry. The main aim of the film producer was to show off the Pixar image computer capabilities. Nonetheless, the producer wanted to extend its target to American families and the world. Although the film was orchestrated uniquely to fit a specific target audience, the producer incorporated various literary aspects to pass the message throughout the film.

Film Plot Structure
Toy Story 1 film is about the secret life of toys when people are not around. When Buzz Lightyear takes Woody's place as Andy's favorite toy, Woody is unhappy about the situation and gets into a fight with Buzz. Accidentally Buzz falls out of the window, and all other toys accuse Woody of wanting to kill him (Pixar 3:08). He is forced to get out of the house and look for him before Andy returns to the room. However, they get into all kinds of trouble while trying to access their way home while outside the room.
The Theme of Friendship and Growing Up
Toy Story 1 offers various themes throughout the film. However, friendship and growing up are more pronounced in the film than in other topics. This reoccurs severally in the animated film Toy Story.
