Response on Refugee Stories
Story #1 “But what could I do? I had no choice. Then two weeks later she called with even worse news.”
My response is based on the three stories from the “Refugee Stories” collection, which touched me the most. Reading these stories sounds like watching a movie. The first story from my list is outstanding of all the stories in the entire collection. It has two significant insights; the risk refugees take for the sake of their families, and the danger journalists put themselves into trying to cover incidences in war-prone zones. Reading the story, Muhamad is a hero who sacrifices all for his family, even when he does not have enough money to cater for his father’s surgery and facilitate his illegal travel to Europe (refugee stories). No one deserves to go through the horror Muhamad has faced in life.
