Based On Economic Reasons: The World Of Business Interview

Essay Instructions:

Question: When did you move to California? So I moved to California around age of ten eleven that was the beginning of middle school like six or seventh grade.
Question: Was it based on family reasons or was it based on economic reasons?Uh my parents definitely wanted me to I guess have a sense of a more different community um because I grew up in Brooklyn and it was more like Asian community. And then I moved to Pontiac Michigan, which was more of like a white suburban neighborhood. They wanted me to have an even more diverse neighborhood, so they moved to California.
Question: If any of these questions are too personal will you let me know?Oh yea. Don’t worry.
Question: When in Brooklyn during you’re the earlier parts of your life, was it determined that you had feelings for other men or how would you describe the transformation and/or self-realization?I think that I knew that I was kind of questioning my sexuality, kind of, like in my high school like sophomore year, like definitely um I went to this business summer camp that was at Columbia and um like it was a one way trip. Me alone and like my own little dorm was like my friends and then like this ass guy and then I was okay “what the fuck”  and that was when I realized that I was like I was kinda like crushing on this guy and I that is when I started questioning my sexuality.
Question: Okay so just as a follow up, you had different feelings towards him and were you living in Brooklyn or in California during this event?Um that was um that was around like sophomore year so um that was when I moved to California and then I took a trip back to New York for a business class.
Question: Why do you enjoy business?Um I like business because it logically makes sense in my mind. It’s not something foreign like art. I never understand art. I think it’s cool and amazing and I do have friends are pursuing an art major but that’s just not something that just clicks me um in general. Um I kind of knew that I had a knack for business um when I took business classes in high school. I took marketing, accounting, and personal finance. Um and like it was specifically finance that really stuck towards me because when to class, I really didn’t pay much attention to class and I just did exceptionally well. Um I was able to score over one hundred over like my um final grade. And then my teacher was like she was recommending to pursue business in college and that’s what motivated me to definitely get a business degree.
Question: Did you see yourself even back in Brooklyn having a knack for business?Yeah so I remember that when I was young my parents would have this like mom and pop like generic Asian Chinese store and that was really cool how they had their own business and liked making money for themselves. And then that kind of also like developed more when like the first kind of like memory that I like remember is that my dad gave me a computer and I went on eBay and won this camera for like dollars on like eBay and that was just like um my first experience of business and of like how exchange of goods and like that definitely was like something that spewed curiosity out of me.

However, as times change equality and meritocracy, regardless of one’s race and sexual orientation has characterized, have been more emphasized. In fact, most corporations today recognize the need for diversity to adapt to the ever-changing environment of the markets, and that is exactly what Mr. P believes.
