To improve my writing skills, I expanded my reading and writing variety going beyond writing personal journals and literary books to improve my content and form and reduced structure flaws. In my writing, I went beyond journal writing and while personal writing is beneficial, but one also needs to understand the different forms of writing and structure. Academic writing is formal unlike journals and other forms of personal wring, and it was necessary to know the different essay structures, and with practice, I became familiar with different types of essays. 
Research writing followed a specific pattern essay consists of three parts: introduction, body and conclusion, but the body may be broken down into other components depending on the type of essay and topic. The introduction is brief and is intended for the reader to know the background, or what is known so far on the topic to be developed I learned, to present my ideas in the body the more I wrote essays and presented arguments to support the main ideas that were briefly mentioned in the introduction. It was important to support all the information using credible, sources and references to bring authenticity to the essay. The conclusion is a summary and a resolution of the topic developed throughout your essay, taking into consideration since the introduction and the body.
