Reflection Essay
I have learned and earned my skills as a writer by appreciating every stage in the process. Reading various scripts by different authors and coming up with the vital information from the content regarding my topic is not always easy. However, accepting mistakes and embracing change towards the direction of writing a sufficient script has helped me to develop the desired skills. I can identify the complexity of the text and come up with the required information. Having a long passage to create and write short essays has become the order of the day. Likewise, getting a small bit of information to produce long and desirable content is more comfortable than I thought it would become someday. I have chosen the Film Analysis Essay on A Christmas Carol and Bushfire in Australia, essays for my reflection as a writer. Although I have done various assignments, these essays have created a source of motivation for me. The latter helped in the identification of strengths and what I would love to write about most while the former aided in a great realization of my weaknesses. While the advantages motivate me to work harder, the flaws may drain me to work a script for long hours since consciousness does not mean I can and should not work on the related topics.
Although I may tackle different topics under different disciplines, the process of analyzing and writing remains similar for all my papers, my mindset is always focused on getting the best out of every topic in the article am writing despite the constraints like insufficient content in the process. This perspective pushed me to think I can like and get what I want in papers until in the Film Analysis essay. On the other hand, the Bushfire in Australia script gave me the realization of what I want, what I can do best, and what I require time to understand, internalize, draft, and analyze to come up with the desired script finally. While the strengths give me the confidence that I can always do the best, the weaknesses help me in identifying the areas that need improvement for an excellent performance. Working towards the achievement of the best grade encourages me to work on the weaknesses since I cannot attain my dreams with failure in some papers. The experience has taught me that despite the topic or field of discussion, writers have strengths and the weaknesses they need to address keenly to enhance uniform and splendid outcomes in every task.
According to McCarthy, Meier, and Rinderer, 465, self-evaluation is significant in the process of writing. As a writer, I have realized that the field entails new dimensions throughout. Hence, writers should evaluate themselves to understand what they require to come up with excellent scripts.
