How do these passages relate to the major themes and the literary forms you have learnt from the lectures? These questions are even more important for you to write the second essay because you are required to compare two sets of texts. In this sense, you need to read all the texts carefully, compare them, and come up with a specific thesis.
After you come up with a thesis, you need to arrange the essay in a logical way with an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. All these three parts need to be in line with the thesis you are arguing about. In the introduction, you need to state your thesis first and directly. In the body, you need to analyze the texts along with the literary forms. Instead of generally introducing the literary forms, go directly to the text and illustrate how the definition of one literary form is manifested in a text. In the conclusion, you need to reemphasize your thesis and somehow elevate it in relation to your textual analysis.

Introduction 
The form is the root of literature that generates and firmly supports the genre and meaning of a literary piece. It determines the level of straightforwardness and influence on the reader. The use of several literary devices enriches a short text with excellent qualities and aspects to extract meaning (Nwatu 20). The thorough study of "Passage 15.23 and 14.10" from "Analects of Confucius" shows that he employs aphorism, chiasmus, assonance, alliteration, comparison and contrast, repetition and juxtaposition to communicate his ideas, wisdom and insight.
Passage One: (15.23 from Analects of Confucius)
The form of this passage is non-fiction prose categorizing 'aphorism' because it is a general truth. Meanwhile, the author uses significant literary devices to accentuate and universalize its meaning (Disciples of Analects 15.23). The choice of non-figurative language leaves an overwhelming and ongoing impact on the reader. For example; the author uses 'chiasmus' or reverse parallelism to connect both clauses. Chiasmus is a linguistic term that makes text esculent being attention-driving to the core (Engel 28). There are other narrative techniques' assonance and alliteration' in this piece of literature. While reading these lines, the repeated phonic sound of 'a' and 'p' creates a musical order to deepen and strengthen the influence of the thought behind. According to analysts, alliteration and assonance make thought persuasive, compelling, and memorizing (Kisak 27).
Additionally, 'repetition and contrast' are also increasing the aesthetic beauty of the lines. These two narrative terms make the statement rhetorical while establishing a secure connection between the lines (Kisak 88).
