The perfect college way of life dissipates quickly once the reality is reached. Many young adults imagine intriguing images of what college might be like for them. However, once these young adults turn into mature women and men, and join higher learning institutions of their choice, they soon recognize the reality of college life. This essay addresses problems faced by first year college students while adjusting to college life. Therefore, before and after joining college, potential first year students are encouraged to undertake activities discussed in this essay.
“Choose a major and a college you love and you will never work a day in your life because that field is probably not hiring.” Therefore, navigating college life begins by selecting the appropriate college and the field one plans to major in. As a first year, creating a schedule of classes ensures class attendance and assignment submission is done on time. Other than academic tasks that involve extensive research programs, college life also involve co-curriculum activities and overtime jobs.
