Learning the art of writing was never a comfortable journey for me. Sometimes, when I remember the struggles that I went through before I could learn how to present ideas well in English, I laugh at myself. Nowadays, writing seems to be so easy, and it, makes me wonder why I had so much challenge before I could learn how to write well. However, I am glad that such experience was able to shape my skills not only in learning how to write but also in learning other aspects of life. All that is needed of an individual is patience and determination in order to be able to learn something. It was back then when I was in grade four that I experienced my most embarrassing moment in learning how to write. When asked about it, I started crying in front of the class, claiming that we did not own a dog and therefore, it was impossible for me to write such an essay. Everyone burst out laughing hard. So, the teacher was like, "class, how many of you have pets at home?" half of the class stood up. Then again, she says, "if you do not have a dog at your home, kindly have a sit" again, half of the students sat down. I could not help myself but feel stupid for the excuse that I had is given. The teacher told them to sit down and that I was to submit my essay the following day. She added that I was to read it in front of the other students. My heart was now racing my I could see how much my desk mate wanted to laugh.
When I got home, I took my book and pen to write, but my head was blank, and I could not think of anything to write. It's not like I had never seen a dog; my neighbors had one. I decided t...
