Gender differences influence leadership abilities and effectiveness. Some claim through meta-analysis research that men tend to be more performing and focused on managerial tasks while ladies perform better in human resource management. Research performed explains that gender has significant roles in defining leadership roles and services that an organization delivers. Gender structures, relations, and social roles influence people's activities and approach in handling several leadership challenges and responsibilities within an organization. An increasing number of women leaders in corporate and political leadership answer the questions that women can lead successfully regardless of the challenges (Northouse, 177). The condition raises questions about whether men and women have different forms of leadership, who are influential leaders, why women are still underrepresented in leadership, and other effects. Data from various sources show that women are holders of 57% degrees and 60% of a master's degree. Programs, regardless of their underrepresentation in various corporations and political leadership. Regardless of these standing statistics, women are disproportionately represented in leadership levels of low quality and authority compared to men. These differences are attributed to human capital differences, gender differences, and prejudice and discrimination against women leadership.
Lack of substantial human capital or having less human capital is a significant cause of the discrepancy. It causes oppression of qualified women to venture and explore leadership. These differences are caused by factors from fewer development opportunities given to them at work as men. Moreover, their responsibilities are usually less compared to men. There is a lack of substantial human capital from such factors that sponsor less work experience, less formal training, lower development opportunities, and more domestic responsibilities at places of work.
