Working as a counselor entails interaction with all kinds of individuals with varying personalities and backgrounds. Factors that make the task more challenging than it is in the first place. Nevertheless, understanding how to deal with these intrinsic and extrinsic differences is the key to be a highly efficient counselor. One example of such understanding is a practitioner’s grasp of the principle of multiculturalism.
