Introduction
The environmental issues within the contemporary society have played a significant role in the city development. This is particularly because climate is closely associated with planning of the city. Hence, city planning ought to take into consideration the environmental issues to ascertain sustainable development and at the same time ecological construction (ZHOU et al.
p. 969). This paper focuses on the environment issues confronted by Shenzhen which is a modern city in China. The aim of the paper is to analyze the environmental pollution problems and intense urban island effect.
Discussion
Environmental protection is extremely essential for the survival of the humans for the reason that any major changes in the climate can place a significant impact on the activities of human as well as result in various environmental issues including heat island effect, greenhouse effect and air pollution. Hence, to alleviate environmental issues within urban cities, urban planning is the most feasible method. Shenzhen is situated in the South China within the Guangdong province (Wang et a., p.1001). The climate of the city in the recent times have drastically changed leading to decreased visibility, humidity and sunshine and at the same time increased precipitation intensity as well as rising temperature. The weather system of high and middle latitudes typically influence the climate of Shenzhen.
