Juvenile Delinquency
In my opinion, juvenile delinquency is an important topic in contemporary society. We all agree that children and adolescents should mostly learn and engage in constructive activities other than crimes. This paper will provide a reflection relating the text to ideas and experiences. Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) refers to report on criminal data that relevant police departments have substantiated. In most cases, this data is collected through various police departments providing crime data to the Federal Bureau of Investigations. It is my considered opinion that these records could be leveraged to help deal with juvenile delinquency cases. While the issue is not as simple as looking at the report and acting on it, the report could provide some information that would act as a great starting point. Take, for instance, the way the intelligence uses several pieces of information to solve a puzzle. I am certain that these reports would be a major tool to the intelligence department in dealing with the issue of juvenile delinquency. Self-reported delinquency is a great tool for collecting data. Despite the few challenges that this data collection method presents, its role in helping identify and avert juvenile delinquency cannot be underestimated. The tools include surveys, and the data collected remain confidential. Since the collected data can be analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively, the tools provide high-quality data. This data can be used on important issues such as shaping policy reforms on juvenile delinquency.

Since research has shown that most cases of juvenile victimization are unlikely to be reported, then only such a survey can provide a glimpse into the situation. Some alternative measures of delinquent behavior and activity include data mining and crime mapping. In the modern technological era, such tools as artificial intelligence and big data have enabled computers to perform large computational/ logical functions. These can be used in data mining to provide appropriate data related to juvenile delinquency. Cri...
