The 4 hallmarks are the pillars of the Phi Theta Kappa. These are; Service, Scholarship, Leadership, and Fellowship. The Scholarship pillar advocates for the application of oneself to rigorous academic inquiry. I have over the course of my academic career applied myself to my academics. I believe that academics provides me with the opportunity t build the skills necessary to contribute to society. I believe it is the responsibility of every citizen to contribute towards the enhanced growth of the United States. It is through education that we can ensure that we build an even more just and equitable society. Where every American has the opportunity to create a better future for themselves. I have pursued academics with aim of someday providing the same opportunities provided to me to other Americans. In this manner I feel that we can grow our nation to be greater.
I believe in leadership and its potential to change the state of the world. I have worked on my leadership skills in the past. This is largely through volunteering in my high school. I have exerted myself in every task that I involved myself in. Choosing to lead by example, providing my fellow students with a unity of purpose.
