Brian Rokos’ “3 Pomona Gang Members Accused of Murdering L.A. Inmate” shows various strategies used by the Mexican Mafia leadership to control their criminal activities. On 14 Oct. 2021, three Pomona gangs believed to be members of the Mexican Mafia were indicted for the murder of a prisoner at the Metropolitan Detention Center, Los Angeles (Rokos). Mexican Mafia is renowned for drug trafficking, among other illegal activities in Southern California. The cartel comprises senior gang members from Southern California who are brought together to benefit from the proceeds of crime.
The three indicted gang members are Carlos Gonzalez, aged 38 years; Juan Sanchez, aged 28 years; and Jose Valencia Gonzalez, aged 39 years.
