In the article Sojourner Truth (1797-1883): Ain’t I A Woman?, which was delivered during a women’s convention in Ohio in 1851, misplaced perceptions about women take center stage. According to the article, men view women as frail beings, incapable of doing things on their own (Women's Convention, Akron, Ohio par.2). On the flip side, women contend that they can be as productive and strong as men. Therefore, they should have access to equal rights.
The second chapter of the book by Frederick Douglass (Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave) documents the lives of slaves in a nutshell.
