Freedom and equality are the main components of America’s diverse history. Presidents and various opinion makers are some of the examples that constitute the long list of persons who contributed to the development of America. Abraham Lincoln is one of the common names in America’s history. Lincoln was President and an influential opinion maker who played a great role in the transformation of America. During the 19th Century, racial segregation was the primary source of conflict between blacks and native-born Americans. For example, children born by whites did not attend the same schools as those born by blacks. In fact, whites considered blacks as slaves who did not deserve anything else other than serving and working for them.
