And the attachments below are important to write this essay, and they have to be included in the essay (readings and Power Point which covered in class)
First of all, this paper is an opinion paper, but it is based on/ should include some historical information in the readings (PPT I sent you).
The first Paragraph is an introduction paragraph
-First, setting up the context, provide some background information in order to better present the thesis of the essay
-It has to include my thesis argument of this paper. Professor requires an argumentative essay since it is much stronger. And you can engage and then dismantle the arguments of “the other side.”
-And for the latter paragraphs, each paragraph should have a topic sentence, which is to support the thesis argument in different aspects.
-And the last paragraph should be similar to the first paragraph. Restate the statement (a little bit different from the first paragraph), and talk about the modern status of education or other important information.
Please use this link (http://www(dot)chicagomanualofstyle(dot)org/tools_citationguide.html) as your guide for the Chicago Manual of Style.  Use the footnotes format, or what they call "Notes"; it is the only version of Chicago style that puts the author's first name, first. It is an easy two points to get--and a really easy point to lose.
¡Sources: sources from beyond class are welcome, but they should be minimal.
–Balance quoting and paraphrasing accordingly: this distinction is what leads to well-developed arguments.
¡Argument: make sure your thesis and conclusion line up! Your conclusion, ideally, should be a bit of a twist.
–Think through what makes for a great argument: engaging with a counterargument, and usually nuance.
¡Organization: outline if that is comfortable, but use the “pencil test” to make sure your ideas connect and build on one another.
