The use of social media enhances the creation and maintenance of meaningful relationships. The medial platforms make it easy for people in different parts of the globe to interact efficiently. For instance, people studying or working away from home can comfortably communicate with their relatives through social media. George argues that technology is an irreversible creation to everyday life and humans cannot evade this fact if they want to embrace the greatness in each new day. Social media uses advanced technology to make the experience great for users. For example, people have got a solution to the ecstasy of scheduling calls with other people in areas with varying time differences since they can use social media for continuous communication irrespective of time. Also, one can opt to leave a message through a popular platform for the person on the other end to find out later. Looking into the various social media platforms and their use in connecting different reveals the importance of the aspect of society. The prevalent use of social media has enhanced the connection of people in different parts of the world than ever before.
Instagram helps in building stronger relationships with consumers for the people in the business world. Statistics show that the media platform has more than 1 billion users, with at least 500 million people of the number using the app daily (Cumbo). The continuous uploading and liking of photos and stories on Instagram show that anyone using the platform to market certain brands of products is bound to connect with customers. Also, the created relationships become substantial overtime since the people engaged can interact daily and have more time to discuss the products. As sellers post the images of the products and probably the team contributing to the creation, they build personal bonds with the potential customers. Besides, showing any flaws in the products reveals a positive image of the advertised brand. On the other hand, the connection will help customers to make an informed decision before the actual buying of the product. The relationship investment input by the seller assemble all the resources about a product, the effort and time spend to post the image push consumers to respond appropriately since they think that the person tried to create awareness about the commodities and services (Clark, 134). The response is the first step towards getting more potential buyers through the media channel.
Also, the use of Instagram in marketing creates the opportunity to build customers' trust, resulting in satisfaction. As the seller and the potential consumer interact on the media platform, the customers get the privilege to ask any questions about specific products, leading to the satisfaction that iterates to acquiring and maintaining loyal customers on the medial channel (Clark, 135).
