Heroes Are Made, Not Born
A hero is someone who is considered to have great decision-making power, who knows how to keep his ego aside while helping or supporting others, and who demonstrates good behavior throughout his life. Such a person knows how to inspire others with his actions, how to help people achieve success and how to develop deep or strong connections with everyone without any discrimination. Given these features or characteristics, many people may think that they cannot be heroes. However, the fact is that a hero is made, not born. This means anyone can become a hero until or unless he knows how to amend his ways and prove his worth to the people around him. In an article titled What are the Jungian Archiotypes, Kendra Cherry writes that “the persona is how we present ourselves to the world” (Cherry 2). This makes it clear that a person who presents himself as loving, kind, caring and affectionate is definitely the hero of society. The core characteristics of a hero that any of us can have to become the ones are courage, passion, integrity, honesty, confidence, and patience.
Courage is the first quality of a hero. A person who has the determination to achieve the goal regardless of the obstacles or challenges he comes across can be considered a hero. This proves that heroes are made, not born, as it is not possible for a newly born child to be courageous and brave enough to handle the day-to-day matters. The real hero is someone who displays confidence when kept under pressure and is courageous enough to take the risks that others refuse to take.
A hero is passionate about the things that he thinks can benefit him and the people around him in the long run. For example, if he owns a business, his passion and level of assurance can inspire the entire team and motivate every employee to perform in a better way.
The third distinctive quality of a hero is integrity. He is trusted by his companions, friends and family members. They all know that their hero will never change his values for anyone, at any cost. Even in the toughest situations, the hero knows how to keep up the spirit and how to maintain his integrity.
