For instance, this practice strengthens numbers through increased collaborators that trigger higher knowledge impacts. Moreover, the continued collaboration has advanced the multicultural and multidisciplinary revolution by making science international and findings generalizable in diverse populations and settings. The only disadvantage is the likely prolonging of research as different researchers seek consensus over conclusions. These advantages are often missing from the more individualistic study, although these types enjoy minimal conflicts related to the research styles of different stakeholders. Although the internet hindered collaborative research, other factors, including inadequate funding and time unavailability, were also significant traditional elements of consideration.

The second one is that the internet and computers assist individuals in handling and storing information while facilitating the execution of complex analyses. For instance, Calvin Kim and Ryan Hui claim to affirm the increased capability arising from the use of technology in research, enabling individuals to collaborate more. Thus, these aspects have positioned the internet as a fundamental enabler of research.
