Five years after my graduation, I anticipate a successful career as a sales and marketing executive in a multinational company, where I exploit technological advancements to draw significant sales and improve my organization’s performance. I will prioritize improving my skills in sales and marketing, which includes focusing on communication, collaboration and networking skills and acquiring recent technology-related skills and emotional intelligence. In that period, I expect to have gained notable experience in customer service management, which thrives on effective communication skills, such as active listening and comprehension of verbal and non-verbal cues. Based on findings by Tan (1), customer relationship management includes prioritizing the role of information technology, which significantly influences sales and marketing. In the next five years, I will have learned SEO marketing strategy, which is one of the technological strategies that would guarantee success in sales and marketing, especially in the contemporary society, where consumers embrace online shopping for convenience, among other factors (Jiang et al. 191; Duarte et al. 161). To establish a successful career in sales and marketing, I will have to factor in digital marketing skills, communication, collaboration, and creative thinking, which, as noted above, guarantees customer satisfaction, among other factors.
One of the ways of achieving notable career success five years after graduation is to continue developing and improving my skills to match my career objectives. This includes excelling in sales and marketing, which can be characterized by rapidly improving sales and brand awareness among the target consumer segment. Developing skills such as technology-related marketing strategies, such as digital marketing through social media and SEO, will require enrolment in online marketing and career courses offered by reputable organizations such as Google and Harvard Business School. The objective is to ensure I develop skills such as problem solving that match the needs of the customers, attract a competitive advantage over other people in the same career, and increase efficiency and professional credibility, among other factors (Emeritus). Apart from the above, there is a need to champion a collaborative framework, which entails networking with other sales and marketing experts in the industry. The objective is to gain insights from their practice and increase exposure to other equally lucrative opportunities that can guarantee an upward career trajectory (Volmer et al. 555; Jacobs et al. 2055).
