Explain the humoral response you must include the all cellular reactions receptors and molecules that are released.
In cellular immunity, the mediators are cells, mainly T lymphocytes, while in humoral immunity response they are the antibodies. The humoral branch of the immune system is designed to eliminate extracellular pathogens and prevent the spread of intracellular pathogens. The pathogens are transmitted from cell to cell through extracellular fluids (Janeway et al). This is achieved through the production of large amounts of specific antibodies against each foreign agent. Antibodies by themselves usually eliminate only certain viruses or inactivate bacterial toxins.
Cellular interactions and chemical signals involved in triggering antibody production are possible as there is recognition of foreign antigens.
