The gangster movie genre is one of the best genres in Hollywood and various films have been produced so far, with Scarface being a prominent one.
Introduction
Released in 1983, Scarface is a Hollywood film by Brian De Palma (Colletta 20). It is a remake of a 1932 movie of the same name and is about Cuban refugee Tony Montana (Al Pacino). He comes to Miami with nothing in his pocket and eventually becomes a powerful drug lord. Basically, he enters the world of crimes and makes his own life miserable. Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert Loggia, Steven Bauer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and F. Murray Abraham have also played important roles in this film.
