He was a native settler for the modern day Hangchow. Tai Chin is believed to have studied much about painting when he was a youth. He learned the skill from other established artists with his community and specialized in painting landscapes and other important figures.

In this masterpiece, we can confidently say that it is one of his finest works as an artist. The painting reveals a landscape with beautiful and chilly-like scenery. When we look at the appearance, we can deduce that this painting represents a sunset. This can be confirmed by the orange hues we see throughout the image. Moreover, we can also see the artistic prowess of Tai Chin. He gives a fine representation of the surrounding; one would think that the image was captured using a digital camera. However, it shows the level of skill and dedication that he exhibited when handling his work.
