Any country has a governing body, which is the government or whatever body is in power. This body is responsible for maintaining peace and ensuring that its citizens relate well in all aspects. This duty is assigned to a given group of people called the police who are vested with the power to enable them to carry on with their duty. However, they go beyond their power and misuse it for false imprisonment /arrest, issuing threats, rape, and physical assault.
Its never business as usual for the offended person, maybe due to pain or injury. Such cases leave me to wonder where the respect for humanity and the sacredness of life was lost. Consider the image military police in the U.S that knelt on George Floyd’s neck until he was no more and police harassing the public due to curfew restrictions. The law has stipulations in place for any wrong or crime to ensure justice is served to both the offender and the offended without engaging brutality.
