This is a movie watching class. For the class, we have been watching several movie trilogies. The final essay is for us to write about our own story. The trilogies and their stories and characteristics may be varied, but the form and structure of all the trilogies are similar: BEGINNING - MIDDLE - END...
With this form and structure in mind, I invite you to create a trilogy of YOUR story, with a beginning, middle and end...
Please write: 1) Your BEGINNING - who are you; where do come from; what experiences have shaped you. 2) Your MIDDLE - who are you today/now; what experiences are you currently having that shape your current point of view, philosophies. 3) Your END - who do you want to be/become; what is your vision of yourself. Dream your "ending" and future self.

My Trilogy
I am an international student from Shanghai, China. I was born and grew up in the street of Long tang but later on, my parents shifted to the city of Shanghai because my father was posted by the government authorities to work there. I come from a very large family with members who are clean-heart and loving. My family comprises of my father, mother, four brothers and three sisters which add up to ten members in total. I started schooling when I was young after we had settled down in the city. I'm a talented footballer and I have been playing since I was young in my home country. I have tried all I can to achieve my dreams but my parents were not supportive because they believe my future does not lie in playing football but instead lies in good academic performances at school. Despite lacking support from my parents, I managed to give my high school team several football cups. The city of Shanghai is my home because all my childhood memories lie there. It is where I completed my high school.
The character and personality of a person depend on the life experiences that have been encountered as one grows up in society. These life experiences influence normally have a great impact on the lifestyle of the people in society. Life is a continuous process of learning thus experiences shape people's lives daily in a different way depending on how the individual people will perceive the situation. There a lot of experiences that have a greater impact on my life and bring the real version of myself. My family is one of the things that have played a great part in my life of making me become what I am today. My parents, cousins, aunties, and siblings have been always supportive all along in life. They have always by side especially in monitoring every step and moves I took in life as I was growing up. They have been very educative about how I should be responsible and loving other people because life becomes meaningful if you can help the needy in society. Life circumstances sometimes keep apart from our beloved ones. As we grow up, people find themselves being a commitment to duties that essential for survival in life. Despite moving away from the family but because of love they had for us, we still hold them close to our hearts. It is through my family that I have learned how to become dependent and responsible for handling my duties and other commitments in my life. My parents have been my role models in my life. This has helped me to learn the good values of life such as how to interact with others.
Friendship has a great impact on the development of character and personality in general. There is this line which says, "Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are".
