Understanding the contributions of various artists worldwide is essential for a greater appreciation of our modern-day artistic culture. Whether it be a renaissance, pop, or any artistic work, knowing the various contributions of our artists paves the way for the next set of individuals who would further define our culture. In line with this, I would like to discuss Jeniffer Lopez’s contributions to the field of dance. This includes a summary of her contributions, their effects, and even specific challenges that she faced during her career until today. All in all, it is my belief that having a clear understanding of an artist’s artistic style, works, and effects on the greater society would help not only in the appreciation but even in the motivation of new artists in the years to come.
The Life of Jeniffer Lopez
Jeniffer Lopez started her career not as a dancer but as an actor. As early as 1999, Lopez has become active in the acting scene, although she has already made her film debut as early as 1986. Nonetheless, her career was not as abrupt and smooth sailing as she was only able to develop her career through practice, breaks, and even a life dedicated to the field.
As said earlier, Lopez’s main talent (dancing) was developed during her childhood as she took regular dance classes before entering the industry. Aside from playing a backup role in 1986, she also worked her way up by appearing as a backup dancer in various production companies in the United States. In terms of her dancing career, this was one of her first breakthrough opportunities, which introduced her to the dance industry.
