What are the concerns you have for this account? Explain why.
The option I have selected from this list is Revenues, and the company which I am going to discuss is Microsoft. The Seattle-based technology company missed quarterly revenue expectations as sales of its Windows product suffered a hiccup in the PC market most recently and this brought the stock down to as much as 5 percent in after-hours trading. One of the major concerns I have is that an expansive skill set is needed at Microsoft. The revenues can be increased only when someone is hired for revenue management, and this type of role requires specialized knowledge and a set of skills. It looks like Microsoft will have to put together and execute a successful and effective strategy in this regard; if it does not happen, it will become impossible for the company to maintain its reputation in the world of technology. Another concern is that Microsoft’s software and tech applications are not always up to the mark. It’s safe to say that the company’s operating systems and antivirus programs are famous among customers, but there seems to be a lack of options, and this is a major barrier to generating huge revenues. Thirdly, communication between departments seems to be absent. Microsoft needs to address this issue as soon as possible as a lack of communication means not being able to meet the targets and this can ruin the reputation of the brand to an extent.
