Part A – Knowledge of an Assessment Centre Experience
Assessment centers are popular approaches employers use in the modern era to recruit critical talents. My assessment center experience was not incompetent, which is unexpected for me based on the preparation and objectives set for my career pathway. My core strengths lie in problem-solving and communication-based activities. However, the assessment center used a different approach to shortlist appropriate candidatures for vacant positions. As a result, I could not outperform the competition during the assessments, which educates me to improve my attribute diversity in the long run.
Assessment centers have a fundamental role in searching, exploring, and shortlisting competent candidates for employers. Confidence was a fundamental strength exhibited during the group exercise. However, the feedback identified that I could work through effective planning and teamwork. The feedback further illustrated that I had a weak communication style and lacked commercial awareness during the group exercise. Based on the responses, I intend to self-educate myself about market trends and industrial paradigms for the following assessment. Besides, I would undergo professional communication training to develop interactive efficacy with the audiences.
Figure 2 illustrates a feedback summary of my presentation in the assessment center. My presentation went successful compared to the group exercise. As mentioned by the evaluators, communication was a fundamental strength in my presentation. The audience could connect and follow the content presented during the assessment. The visuals were interactive and added an impression to the content. Besides, the ...
