The 5 stages of the Consumer Decision Process for buying an Electric Scooter
The 5 stages of the Consumer Decision Process offers a glimpse to how might a buyer think before coming to a decision to buy something. In this particular paper, we are going to explore the possible considerations that one might have before buying an electric scooter.
The Buyer Decision Process has 5 stages. These stages are:
Need Recognition
Information Search
Evaluation of AlternativesPurchase Decision
Post Purchase behavior
In the First stage which is Need Recognition, a consumer might be finding some options wherein he or she can ease her life. One aspect that he might be considering would be mode of travel. For this situation, let us assume that our consumer is a young adult living in an urban setting. In his daily life, he spends money for commuting, and spends considerable amount of time in queues for buses and trains in order to get to his workplace. In this situation, the consumer is already accepting that he has a need for a better mode of transport. He wants to ease his life by having his own vehicle, but not in the expense of more cost. He might check out available 4 wheeled vehicles and check their price. He also has the capacity to research using online tools such as applications or web browsers. At this stage, the consumer is able to see the types of products that can give a solution to his need. Different mode of transports includes 4 wheel drives, bicycles, motorized bikes, and electric powered scooters and other small vehicles. (Haize, 2021)
After knowing the different kinds of product on the market, a consumer will now try to zero in on the product that he truly wants to buy to quell his needs. At this stage, a person will compare the various products on the market. The consumer must analyze the cost, the efficiency and the potential benefit of each product. The different vehicles are capable of different things. Some might have faster top speeds, greater power, and more added features, which is why the consumer must think critically which product is best for him. He must consider his own environment, his lifestyle, and also his philosophy in life. As a member of the urban setting, he might consider buying a bike for green purposes, or a vehicle to project more power. However, he must also consider his budget for this project.
In the 4th Stage, the consumer is now in his purchase decision. After examining various factors such as his degree of need, the type of...
