The Museum of FIT is a fashion museum visited by more than 100,000 people. In one of my recent visit, the museum FIT was displaying contemporary fashion to advance knowledge of fashion through an exhibition. The two fashion exhibitions titled "Force of Nature" and "Expedition: Fashion from the Extreme explored human adaptation to nature. The attractive display at the museum presented fashion display titled, "force of nature” that explored the inspiration nature and science through fashion design. The display included weather, plants, and foreign landscapes, animals discovered in the 18th and 19th centuries. As explained by the curator, the designs were inspired by not only scientists and writers but also the designer themselves. The designs interpreted nature, analyzing how the fashion industry has progressed in respect to the environment.
I was among the many viewers who appreciated the collection of garment, accessories, textiles, and prints and see how men and women's fashion could be put into life. The collection included flowers and different animal prints. The wild animal prints were among the attractive designs on display. Beautiful animal like a caterpillar and butterflies, which can transform, inspired the designs. The fashion theme was to show how women could be transformed into flowers or bird-like form, presenting amazing outcomes in form of fashion. The use of wild stirred up new ideas among the designers.
