The Eastern Roman or Byzantine Empire existed in the fifth century before the Ottoman Empire replaced it. Indeed, it had survived for thousands of years before it collapsed due to the effects of numerous feudal kingdoms. In the seventh century, the Byzantine Empire lost parts of its eastern land to Muslims. The Fourth Crusade significantly contributed to the collapsing of the empire since its lands were subdivided and Constantinople got arrested. The Byzantine Empire was important in medieval history, particularly in Eastern Europe, since it brought people together through its powerful centralized state, efficient administration, shared Greek culture, and common Christian faith.
The Byzantine Empire embraced the culture of Christianity, which was one of its significant importance in Eastern Europe. In particular, between the fourth and fifth centuries, people were Christianized, bringing peace and harmony among residents. The Christian way of life was inherited from Greco-Roman, and it was spread and maintained through education (Cole & Symes 2020). In that light, individuals living in the Eastern Roman Empire were united, and they protected their kingdom from intruders who were against Christianity. They imitated classical Greek literature. The elementary school helped young people under the age of 10 years acquire basic writing and reading skills. Additionally, classical literature was taught by the secondary schoolmaster, also called grammatikos.
The Byzantine Empire was essential since it enabled many people to learn how to treat various diseases. Besides, without having qualified and highly experienced doctors, it would not have survived since individuals needed...
