The Grid in Transition-Resource Adequacy and Resilience is a speech presented by Mike Wilder on October 28, 2021, during Cornell Energy Day. In the next 30 years, some positive changes will include an equivalence of more than 185 trillion dollars in BTU reduction, a target of 70% growth in renewable and clean energy, zero-emissions electricity, wind energy, 6000 MW solar energy, and 85% reductions in Green House Gas production (Wilder, 2021). Achievement of such progress will occur through assessment of the resiliency of the grid for climatic events such as high temperatures, storm surges, and wind lulls. In addition, there will be an integrated CLCPA energy production diversification from solar, hydro, and wind to meet policy goals by 2040.
