The two items I would eliminate because are no longer relevant would be `I can be sure that my children will be given curricular materials that testify to the existence of their race.’ This being the21st century has many advantages including technology which has made information easier to get. The internet is fast and reliable for example one can access it through the phone and get news from anywhere in the world. Unless they lock up the children, it would be very difficult to keep information from any race and that is why I think it is irrelevant. Secondly `if I want I can be pretty sure of finding a publisher for this piece on white privileges’ This is not an issue today since publishers are standing up for the rights of fellow human beings through publishing their work. Unlike years ago, one can work on a piece like this and not get harassed. Publishers show support through publishing articles like this since some of themexperience the issues in the item or see it happen in the society. It would not be hard for a person of color to have their piece published (Weekes, 2009).
