The USDA is a federal agency that offers leadership on agriculture, natural resources, food, nutrition, and development, based on science, public policy, and management (USDA, 2022). USDA's vision is to promote the economy through consistent innovation that contributes to the country's growth. The agency also promotes agricultural production that sees the continuous availability of food in the country and beyond. Further, it preserves the natural environment and resources by actively conserving forests and wetlands and improving watersheds and farmlands (USDA, 2022).
The USDA is a large agency.
