I have added some articles take what what you need.

6-1 question      Assess yourself using the True Colors personality quiz. In your own words, discuss your results and what you learned about yourself. How will this help you respond to or coach others to gain insight about their performance? Which coaching model are you more comfortable using based on your personality assessment?

Kara   According to the True Colors, personality quiz my true color is gold! Gold individuals usually are:

  • Loyal

  • Dependable

  • Prepared

  • Organized

  • Caring   My color is Gold as well

I agree with this test and I believe that I do have these characteristics. I am very detail-oriented and love to plan ahead. I am not sure how predictable I am but I am a responsible person. This gives me a sense of security in life. I rarely do anything that is unpredictable or unplanned. I like to have control of my own life and value helping others.

Feddy  I enjoyed taking the True Colors personality quiz. My results were that blue is my true color. The results described that I tend to be empathetic, a caretaker, spiritual and intuitive, idealistic, compassionate, warm, romantic, good at communicating, sincere, loyal, inclusive, and a people person. I agree with all of that. It actually was very accurate in describing my personality. The quiz results identified my key weaknesses as naivety, emotional instability, disorganization, too passive (being a “pushover”), inability to make clear decisions, and playing the martyr role. I found those key weaknesses interesting. Some of them I agree apply to me, but there are some that I outrageously disagree with (laughing out loud). One is the ability to make clear decision. I take pride in thinking before I act, and I like to weight the options before making a decision. When I do make a decision, they tend to always be clear decisions. The results also described my needs. Per the results, my needs are to be true to myself, to share my emotions, to feel unique, to live in harmony, to have meaningful relationships, and to unite people. The quiz results on my needs were pretty accurate. All of those needs described, I can definitely relate to and I know they are valuable to me.

Cynthia, According to (Sol) the True Colors personality test is an excellent tool to help people understand who are at a deeper level. The results revealed that my dominant color is green. I am an independent, creative and visionary person by nature (Sol). I tend to be: Analytical, Rational, Powerful, Curious, Free-thinking, Future-orientated, Intellectual, Calm (unemotional), Objective and Philosophical. My key weaknesses are: Arrogance, Aloofness, Emotional coldness, Unrealistic, Unsociableness and Intellectual elitism. As a green my needs are:

  • To gather knowledge

  • To understand people and the world

  • To bring innovation to society

  • To be competent

  • To find truth

The assessment came close to my true nature except for a few miner differences. It reinforced the idea that I enjoy working with coachable clients who are committed to investing in their own goal development. That's why my coaching model of choice is solution focus.

The acronym ENABLE stands for:

Elicit preferred future

Notice exception

Activate strengths and resources

Build on what's working

Look for opportunities

Efficacy-supportive feedback

This model will work great for people who are self motivated, willing to be coached, need some help with solutions to achieve goals and seeking to move to the future beyond dwelling on challenges.

6-2 question        Read the article “Coaching Models for Leadership Development: An Integrative Review.” Using the five key elements of coaching models, describe what element you think will be most effective when working with organizational clients. Describe how this element might contribute to their overall flourishing within an organization.   What element would be least effective in an organization? Explain why. After reading the GCU Statement on the Integration of Faith and Work, GCU believes:

“God, the Almighty, created the world, placed humans beings within it, and blessed them by making them responsible for cultivating and carrying for creation. Therefore, we are assured that our work within the world matters to God and our neighbors and that we honor God by serving others in ways that promotes human flourishing.”     How might the Christian worldview contribute to overall flourishing within an organization?

Letisha    In my reading on the article, I found it importnat to have goal setting and problem defining. Both of those will help the organization to be successful in their learning about how to improve the organization. I believe the important aspect of the problem defining and goal setting key element of the coaching models is it helps the team get a head start on working through their problems and coming out better (Carey, Philippon & Cummings, 2011). I believe the relationship building aspect is also important because although you may not like a perosn learning to be a functioning relationship with them helps create a much more flourished and successful organizational community. Outcomes are the least important because alothoguh it is valuable if no one gets through the other aspects they cannot even get to the outcome whether good or bad. Outcome cannot be the most important aspect because it will mean a lot of other important things will not be met.

The Christian Worldview believes in problem defining, solving, goal setting and transformation. As Christians we believe in helping people flourish in life and growing in all aspects of their life. I think it is important to make sure the coaching as well as person is getting successfully helped. I believe it is important to make sure as Christians we are helping people become their best selves and we also need to make sure they are getting through all aspects of their coaching process and grow in the end.

She looks happy with the quality of the test as well as with its results. Furthermore, Kara calls herself a responsible and sensible person; she is one of those people who have a great sense of security. She does not believe in depending on the ideas that are not well-planned. Instead, she wants to have the full control over her emotions and life.
Just like Kara, Feddyl has been in love with the True Colors Personality Quiz. The student says that his results indicate that his true color is blue. Also, the results describe that he is empathetic, caretaker, idealistic, companionate, romantic, sincere, inclusive, loyal, honest and spiritual. According to Cynthia, the purpose of the True Colors P...
