A Visit to a Public Park
Normative behavior
There was a couple sunbathing on the grass with two of their children playing around them. The children were running around shouting but not aggressively. They seemed happy and contented. The mother seemed to have drifted to sleep while the father was on his phone the entire time occasionally taking photos of the kids, the wife and himself. He would occasionally warn the children not to wander off too far and for the older kid to ensure he did not hurt his brother.
There was also a number of people exercising around the park. All of them were in sports attire, and their pace generally seemed similar. Most of them were jogging while others were walking. They all had earphones, and some stopped to stretch at random probably favorite spots in the park. Demographically, most were Caucasian women, and most were seemingly obese. The men were young and middle-aged and with strong body physique. Two men jogged in the company of their dogs. Majority of those exercising were walking, and they were mostly alone. Very few individuals who were exercise seemed to be doing it with another person, and if they were, it was most likely a spouse as it tended to be a man and a lady.
There is a small lake and a waterfall in the lake with rowing boats. During the day, all the boats are nearly hired as people take tours in the lake. Mostly, people hire the boats per in groups or per family and have a person to row them through the lake. Some people row themselves alone or just two of them which seem as romantic exercise for them. In the lake, each person seems to be very careful not to knock another person into the water, and everyone seems to be willing to wait and let other boats to pass before they proceed. Few individuals wear their life jackets though it is strongly recommended that they wear them. They exercise extreme caution while in the lake, and almost all of them seem to have taken a photo mostly by their phone camera.
There was also a group of people who were doing yoga in the park. They encouraged anyone to join them if they so wished. They seemed nonchalant as they tried new yoga positions and techniques as per the instructions of their leader. Other normative behavior in the park was that most people seemed to be taking photos on their phones. Occasionally a stranger would request another person to take a photo of him/her/ their group.
Deviant behavior
A group of boys were threatening to throw their friend’s skateboard into the water. The boys keep tossing the board to each other such that their friend cannot reach it. The boy is begging the older boys not to throw it into the river. The bigger boys keep laughing, but eventually, they do not throw the skateboard into the wate...
