The healthcare business places high importance on risk management. Scholars define health care risk management as means and processes in place inside a health care organization to detect, reduce, and prevent hazards (Kontoghiorghes, 2021). The plan aims to identify hazards that may be foreseen based on the working environment and devise strategies to minimize or reduce their consequences. Risk management plans are used in the health care business for various reasons. One of the key reasons healthcare organizations use risk management strategies is to ensure the safety of their patients. Aside from that, the necessity to comply with government rules, maintain quality standards, and prevent medical mistakes are just a few reasons why health care organizations use such solutions. This article reviews a risk management plan implemented at the health care facility where I work to minimize unintended injury to patients, employees, and visitors.

The risk management strategy implemented at the health care facility where I work tackles a variety of dangers that may affect visitors, patients, and staff members, as well as numerous topics of concern. The risk management strategy I chose for examination is meant for all of the institution's workers. Non-core staff, such as those in the billing department and legal services, fall into this category. The risk management strategy emphasizes avoiding all forms of liability, preserving the institution's reputation and status, and ensuring that all personnel can provide high-quality patient care in a safe setting (Torres, 2022).
The risk management site is for a 500-bed community hospital with a steady flow of patients from the local region and beyond. This risk management strategy was chosen since it spans the whole health institution and targets all hospital employees. Unlike other risk management plans that focus on a single department or set of employees, this example emphasizes the importance of all employees in maintaining a safe working environment. When patients and visitors are exposed to numerous hazards such as hospital-acquired illnesses and needle pricks, the institution's reputation and status are likely to suffer. To solve this, all stakeholders in the institution should work together to ensure a safe atmosphere. This risk management strategy was an excellent choice due to its comprehensive character.
