Solution-focused therapy focusses on the present and future situations rather than previous involvements. The issues bringing someone to therapy are characteristically not looked into. As an alternative, the therapist encourages patients to cultivate a vision and gives sustenance as they determine the expertise and abilities required to attain the vision productively. Concentrating on the strong points always yields the best return on investment. Most patients do not come to therapy to advance something they are excelling in, instead the therapist identifies the patient’s strengths so as to help them use these strong points in areas they want to improve in. (Sharf, 2015) Looking at insight-oriented therapy, it is more concerned with one’s history of repetitive patterns and gives much more weight to conducts and concerns. While both therapies have their residences in the world of mental health, I would champion for a solution-focused therapy as it is a forward march approach.

The significant conceptions of feminist therapy are that complications are observed in a socio-political and cultural setting. It is supposed in this form of therapy that the patient already understands what is best for them and is the expert of their own life. This perspective defies traditional ways of evaluating psychological health and it is anticipated that the patient transformation will best happen through social transformation.
