People react irrationally to critical issues, including vaccines and climate change, because of false beliefs. For example, despite the scientific evidence that vaccines are important in preventing and controlling infectious illnesses, rumors and false ideas regarding the potential adverse effects dissuade populations from being vaccinated. As a result, the community’s health is at risk due to mistaken beliefs regarding the possible undesirable impacts of vaccine uptake.
