Based on the finding of multiple scientific research, this oceanic system called Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) is slowing down and will soon collapse. AMOC is an ocean-wide balancing mechanism between the warm and salty tropical waters and the cold polar waters that are less salty. The tropical heat and the cold from the polar regions provided an equilibrium of the AMOC cycle. In the article, the scientists are warning that climate change has caused an increase in global temperature, which is now disrupting the system. The instability and eventual collapse of AMOC will destroy global weather patterns.
