Moral relativism refers to a concept that there are no absolute or universal set of moral doctrines, but several ideological perspectives are largely concerned with differences in moral conclusions among different people, groups, and cultures. Since this form of morality support varied opinions, philosophers define moral relativism into three broad classes: descriptive, meta-ethical, and normative moral. In descriptive/cultural moral relativism, moral standards are often defined differently across cultures. For instance, whilst some values such as reverence and honesty might appear to be universal, there are particular values that differ among people from different cultural backgrounds. Meta-ethical moral relativists maintain that there should be no objective standing to prefer the moral values of a certain group over the other.
