Introduction:
Immigration is an integral part of world politics since it is inherently political and international. The interests and power of states are influenced by their location in migration systems: the ability of nations to apply diplomacy or pursue state interests is impacted by the extent to which they are migration-receiving, transit states, or migration-sending (Mitchell, 1989). Migration is a central component of state functions and interests in Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Italy, and Greece as migration-receiving and transit states. For instance, Jordan and Turkey have managed to use their position in migration systems as migration-receiving states and transit states to negotiate with the European Union for more aid if they are to continue accommodating refugees from Syria. Migrant studies exist at the intersection of many academic areas and specialties.
International relations have been influenced by critical work in geography, sociology, anthropology, political and social theory, economics, and cultural studies, among other subjects. Global governance, international migration, and the security-migration nexus are the most pressing international relations issues. Research on refugees and concerns about asylum is particularly well-represented in the burgeoning topic of alternative voices in migration studies. Migration is a valuable negotiation tool in international relations and furthering state interests. Migration is a helpful instrument in international relations because it promotes diplomatic methods to accomplish migration-related goals. Separately, a country can use migratory diplomacy as an element of its foreign policy, but this has no impact on international relations (Adamson & Tsourapas, 2018). To preserve their territorial dominance, governments ...
