The Aboriginal World Views as Challenges and Possibilities in Social Work Education is an article that explores the world views of the Aboriginal people, their perceptions in the field of social work, and the prospects of their engagement in the field of social work education. What I liked about the article is that it examines the history of the Aboriginal and how it has affected the perception of the social work education. According to Baskin (2006), the profession of the social work has not been friendly towards the Aboriginal people. However, as many of the natives get involved in the field of social work education, they have led to the incorporation of the anti-oppressive theories and practices in education.
The article emphasizes the use of oral tradition in teaching as an aspect that unites the Aboriginal people by enhancing the ways of knowing and healing practices. The author has identified how the Aboriginal education has been marginalized in the education system.
